Do you have a good idea for a baby product? You’re not alone. “Eight-four percent of women become more inventive when they become a mom,” says Tory Johnson, the workplace contributor for Good Morning America. “They become that way out of necessity.” Trouble is, so many moms don’t do anything about their product epiphanies. But you can by applying for a Huggies Mominspired Grant. Applications for 2013 will be accepted through Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 11:59 EST.
If your ingenious product idea wows the Huggies team, you’ll receive a $15,000 grant, seed money that can help you bring your product to market. “To have a global brand recognize your idea is like winning the lottery,” Johnson says. The money you’ll receive can help you make your product happen, build your inventory and get your product distributed. You’ll get sales and support from past grant winners too. You can ask questions, such as: “I’m having a manufacturing dilemma. Can you help me solve this?” The Huggies support network champions one another’s success from a practical standpoint. “It’s an open Rolodex,” Johnson says. Up to 12 $15,000 grants are offered each year so your chances of winning are good, especially if you have a winning idea.
So don’t miss out. Get your application in by the July 31st deadline. For more information, visit www.huggiesmominspired.com. Start by reviewing the rules and eligibility guidelines, then go from there, step by step. Fyi–Huggies doesn’t specifically seek out ideas that are diaper or hygiene related. Past winners include Babee Covee (www.babeecovee.com), a baby blanket that has multiple uses and Magnificent Baby (www.magnificentbaby.com), babywear with magnetic closures. Only 11 winners were chosen in 2012. Don’t leave money on the table. Apply today!
