Put diapers on your baby registry
When you’re registering for baby products, it’s easy to get caught up in what stroller, crib or car seat to put on your wish list. But don’t forget the little stuff such as diapers, diapers and more diapers (but not in the newborn size; you’ll only need one package of those so go ahead and buy those yourself), diaper wipes, diaper rash ointment, breast pads, pacifiers, a nursing bra or two, breast milk storage bags, baby bottle liners, formula (the store brand is just as nutritious as name brands), baby body wash (which doubles as shampoo) and a digital rectal thermometer (a $10 one will do). These practical items may not seem gifty, but they’re nifty—especially when, say–you run out of diapers and discover another package amidst your baby shower bounty, which prevents you from having to dash to the 24-hour pharmacy. (Been there!)
Such a good point! I actually ended up setting up a diaper fund on my baby registry on myregistry.com. I knew that would be an endless expense, and I ended up getting enough contributions to cover several months worth of diapers!
Great advice! I recently launched a cash gift registry website called Deposit a Gift where you can register for all of these things and more…a fund for college, classes, babysitters, plus all the things that you might not need right away, but that you’ll want to buy as you go. UrbanBaby just called us “So efficient. So 2010. So on the money.” http://blogs.urbanbaby.com/buzz/2010/01/06/cash-is-king/
I hope you’ll check out the site and feel free to email me if you have any questions: dana@depositagift.com

Also, I would like to ask – don’t you mind if I will quate some information from your blog because I am writing articles for the Hub pages, Ezine and other articles directories (this is my part time job)? It would really help me with some of mine articles. Of course, I will mention your blog name or URL (not all articles directories allows URL’s , so I can’t 100% promise that you will get a direct link to your blog).
Yes, feel free to reference and link back to http://www.babyproductsmom.com if URLs aren’t allowed.

Hi there could I reference some of the insight found in this blog if I reference you with a link back to your site?
Sure, that’s fine.
Sandra
I have been looking for this kind of information for some time and I have a few questions. Would you mind answering them if I ask them here? Thanks.
Sure–happy to answer.
My baby will be 3 months old tomorrow and we have CD’d her since she was 6 days old. I have two of these pail liners that we rotate with each wash load (we wash every other day) and they are completely falling apart. We only hang them to dry and yet there are pulls and holes in these bags. So disappointing. We might just ditch the bag/liner altogether and just put the diapers in the can and then wash the can out. Not sure what to do. But I won’t be buying more of these liners.
Thanks for your liner comments, Lucy.

I normally buy generic diapers, but these looked so cute in the ads that I bought a small pack for some pictures. Horrible! First, they look NOTHING like jeans. The ad photos are MAJORLY doctored to look better. These are an ugly blue color and the jean details are almost non-existent. Secondly, they leak. And finally, they leave crumbs of clear gel on my son’s skin every time I use them. They were literally twice the price of my usual diapers, and not even remotely worth it. Save your money!
Hi Lily: Could you please be a bit more specific: What type/brand of diapers are your referring to just so we’re all clear. Thx!
